What does amigurumi means?

CONSTRUCTION
Legs and body are worked together, from the bottom to the top. Head and wings are sewn to the main part.
NOTES
• Work in a continuous spiral, without closing off the rounds with a slip
stitch. Use a stitch marker or a piece of contrasting color yarn to mark the beginning of each round.
• Crochet tightly to prevent little gaps between the stitches. If needed, try a smaller crochet hook.
• Stuff firmly your amigurumi. Use the stuffing to help you to shape your pieces. Before closing a part, check if you still need to stuff it a little bit more.
• There’s no need to modify this pattern in order
to make smaller or larger amigurumis.
Simply use thinner or bulkier yarn, and adjust
the size of your crochet hook.
